Changing Lives Ministries (CLM) was registered in 2003 with South Africa’s Social Development Department as a Non Profit Organisation, which cares for, and uplifts children who have been abandoned, abused, neglected and orphaned. In 2008 CLM was registered as a PBO (Public Benefit Organisation) with SARS, so can issue tax certificates to donors.
CLM is the umbrella to two Charities, namely,
- The Village of Joy, which is currently home to 22, neglected and abandoned children.
- The Riversands Primary School Feeding-scheme, where 650 children are fed a nutritious meal on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during school terms.
As a Non Profit Organisation, CLM has a constitution and board whose members are: Mr Peter Doubell, Dr Sonia Doubell, Mrs Glenda Lansdell, Mrs Chelene Ross, Ms Moyra Mitchell and Ms Milly Jarvis.
Ms Milly Jarvis is the Founder and Chairperson of Changing Lives Ministries.
All board members are actively involved volunteers, however Milly is a full time volunteer and lives with the children at The Village Of Joy and runs the Riversands Primary School Feeding Scheme.
CLM has audited financial statements since they were registered and the year-end is 30th September.
